I’ve heard you shouldn’t get attached to any of these characters in this anime. Well, I’m going to get attached, I always do.
Himekawa Koyuki has always dreamed of becoming a magical girl ever since she was a little kid. She plays the popular game, Magical Girl Raising Project that is able to create real magical girls. The girls who get picked are have all have special abilities that only they can use. Himekawa is able to become one because she is chosen to become a magical girl due to the mascot character keeping tabs on her in the game. That’s kind of weird a mascot character watching your every move. *shivers*
Himekawa is transformed into her character in the game, Snow White. She is able to sense people in trouble. I was hoping she would get a better ability but she is a magical girl and I guess she wouldn’t know what do with I don’t know the ability to run really fast or breath fire out of her mouth. Himekawa spends the week helping anyone and everyone.
I think she’s an ok character. Although I have to say her dream is to become a magical girl. Really? What if she never played this game, would she have continued following her dream. I although think she too nice a character. Hopefully something happens and she snaps or something. That would be fun to see.
Himekawa is able to meet her fellow magical girl’s in the game. Most of the girl’s introduced themselves except for one. The ninja magical girl. I wonder what her deal is? Anyway she meets most of the magical girls, and is told that La Pucelle is going to train her. I think the other character’s are fine. I like the witch magical girl she looks cool and fun. I’m always drawn to the happy and bubbly character, I feel that they’re better than the shy characters or the stand-offish one’s.
La Pucelle and Snow White (I’ll call her that from now on) meet on a tower the next night. We find out that La Pucelle is Snow White’s old friend Souta. We meet him in a flashback while Snow White was talking about her childhood earlier in the episode. He always loved magical girl’s as well but because he’s a boy, he get’s made fun of. Snow White agrees to be Souta’s partner and the episode ends there.
It was obvious that Souta was La Pucelle, it was something about his attitude that tipped me off. I find it sad that Souta had to buy magical girl items the next town over because he was afraid of getting caught. Personally, I think it’s fine for boys to love magical girl’s, so long as you’re not dreaming of becoming one in real life XD.
This episode was fine. Hopefully things heat up as I watch more episodes and review them next week.
